Preview: West Ham United vs. Hull City

Sports Mole previews Wednesday night's Premier League encounter between West Ham United and Hull City at Upton Park.

West Ham United will be desperate to end their run of three consecutive defeats on Wednesday night when they welcome Hull City to Upton Park in the Premier League.

The Hammers have been dragged back into the battle for survival in recent weeks thanks to a disappointing string of results.

Sam Allardyce's side, who lost 2-0 to Manchester United on the weekend, currently sit six points above the drop zone with eight games left to play.

In contrast, four wins in their last six matches have seen Hull pushing for a top-half finish heading into the final weeks of the season.

The Tigers make the trip to East London in 12th place in the table, four points behind 10th-placed Stoke City.

Matt Jarvis will face a late fitness test for West Ham, but Joey O'Brien and Marco Borriello are both unavailable through injury.

Shane Long and Curtis Davies are expected to feature for Hull after suffering minor knocks during Saturday's 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.
