West Ham United are ready to rival Newcastle United for Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy, according to a report.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce is keen on bolstering his attacking ranks heading into the new Premier League season and wants to pair the Frenchman with £15m signing Andy Carroll.
Remy's representatives and West Ham are already in discussion over a move to Upton Park as the Hammers hope to seal a £6m swoop to beat Newcastle to the signing, reports the Daily Star.
The 26-year-old scored six goals in the Premier League for relegated Rangers last season.
