Wolverhampton Wanderers are keen on adding GD Alcochetense midfielder Edson Silva to their development squad, according to a report.

Portuguese youngster Edson Silva has emerged as a rumoured transfer target for Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 18-year-old is on the books of amateur club GD Alcochetense, who play in the fourth tier of Portuguese football.

Football Insider claims that Wolves are keeping tabs on the midfielder with an eye on adding him to their development squad for the coming season.

However, the West Midlands outfit are expected to face competition from a number of other teams, including Roma and Primeira Liga giants Sporting Lisbon.

Silva has previously been likened to Manchester United ace Paul Pogba because of his style of play.
