Rugby Football League deduct Bradford Bulls six points

The Rugby Football League punish the Bradford Bulls with a six-point deduction for going into administration.

Bradford Bulls have been deducted six points by the Rugby Football League for entering administration.

It was confirmed that the OK Bulls Ltd had been placed into administration at the end of January following a long-running battle for ownership of the club between Omar Khan and the current board of directors.

"The RFL Board of Directors has today ruled that Bradford Bulls will be deducted six points - the equivalent of three competition wins - as a penalty for entering into administration in January 2014," read a statement from the RFL.

"The Board's decision follows a full assessment of the circumstances surrounding the club's administration, which followed a similar insolvency event by Bradford Bulls in June 2012. The points will be deducted with immediate effect."

The decision will leave the Bulls on minus four points.
