Danny Care says that he has a point to prove after earning a recall to the England squad.

Harlequins scrum-half Danny Care has said that he will do all he can to remain in the England squad.

The 25-year-old earned a recall to the national side after a number of off-field incidents led to his exclusion from the Six Nations.

Care will get his opportunity to impress Stuart Lancaster on Wednesday when England face the Southern Barbarians, and he is determined to take his chance.

"Obviously I have a point to prove. I have proved my point with my form in the Premiership for Quins, I have proved the type of player I can play as," said Care.

"Obviously I have got a chance on Wednesday and would love to get a shot in the main squad. That is why we are all here, to play in the Tests.

"Hopefully I can play well and really push my case."

England were beaten 22-17 by South Africa on Saturday.
