Jo-Wilfried Tsonga has pulled out of next week's Cincinnati Open following a freak accident in Toronto.
The world number six, who was competing in the Rogers Cup, had to have stitches in his knee after he ran into a fire hydrant in the street.
Earlier reports had suggested that the French Olympic silver medallist had been involved in a car accident.
Tsonga, who was knocked out in the second round in Toronto, is expected to feature in the US Open which starts at the end of the month.
