Arsenal are reportedly ready to make their move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt in a cut-price transfer.
The Gunners are in the market for an attacking midfielder as they look set to miss out on signing Real Madrid loanee Martin Odegaard on a permanent deal.
German outlet Bild claims that Brandt, who is on the fringes at Dortmund with 16 Bundesliga starts this term, is being eyed up by Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta's side have been linked with the 24-year-old in the past, but they could not previously match Dortmund's valuation.
However, the report suggests that BVB are now willing to accept around £17.5m for the Germany international following a largely underwhelming campaign.
Brandt has been capped 35 times by his country, scoring three goals, and has 226 appearances under his belt in the German top flight for Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen.
