Club Brugge boss Ivan Leko says that forward Wesley is capable of making an impact at Arsenal should he sign for the Gunners in January.

Club Brugge boss Ivan Leko has suggested that he has not been left surprised by Wesley being linked with a move to Arsenal.

The 22-year-old has established himself as a key part of the Belgian outfit, with nine goals being netted in all competitions this season.

The Brazilian is said to be attracting interest from the Gunners, and Leko has said that the attacker deserved to be associated with a potential switch to the Premier League.

Leko is quoted as saying by La Derniere Heure: "I'm sure Wesley has the level to play at Arsenal. He can be proud of what he's been doing for the last six months; he's working hard and he's reaping the rewards, but to play in the Premier League you have to work harder every day.

"If I'm worried about the rest of the season, there are smart people at the club who are preparing for the future and anticipating."

Wesley still has just over four-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Club Brugge.
