An ankle injury has prevented the 26-year-old Scotland international from participating in the last two games for club and country.
"I'm getting very close to being fit," said Brown. "I'm touch and go for Thursday but I'll be fine for Sunday."
This weekend will mark the first Old Firm derby of the season.
