Goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has claimed that Marc-Andre ter Stegen should 'put Germany first' after comments were made regarding his playing time.
Having long held the number-one position at Barcelona, Ter Stegen has indicated that he has been left frustrated with his lack of chances for his country.
That has resulted in a response from Neuer, who feels that Ter Stegen has not helped the current mixed morale within the squad.
The Bayern Munich stopper told Sky In Germany: "I think he's a good keeper and he is performing well, but I'm not sure if that helps us.
"We are a team and should present ourselves as such. We have great goalkeepers. We have Kevin Trapp, Bernd Leno, these are all great goalkeepers who also want to play and then sit on the bench.
"We are a team. We have to stick together. The goalkeepers also have to stick together."
Ter Stegen has made just four outings for Germany since the start of 2018.
