Gonzalo Castro has "finally made it" at Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund's attacking midfielder Gonzalo Castro believes that he now fully belongs at the club following his performance against SC Paderborn.

Gonzalo Castro has insisted that he has now "finally made it" as a Borussia Dortmund player following his performance against SC Paderborn last night.

The attack-minded 28-year-old joined BVB from Bayer Leverkusen during the summer amid much anticipation, but he had only scored once in his first 10 outings for the club prior to this DFB-Pokal tie.

However, against the side from the German second tier, Castro scored twice and set up two more goals as Dortmund ran out 7-1 winners at the Westfalenstadion.

"Evenings like this are always nice. It's special to get two goals and two assists," he told Sky Sports Germany.

"I've played pretty well in the previous games. I've been in Dortmund a while now but have finally made it with this game."

In their 19 games this term, Dortmund have found the back of the net 61 times.
