Filipe Luis calls for strong finish

Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis calls on his side to remain focused in the final few weeks of the campaign.

Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis has insisted that the club's successful season will count for nothing unless they end the campaign with silverware.

The Spanish outfit need just two wins from their final three league games to secure the La Liga title this season.

Meanwhile, they are currently level at 0-0 with Chelsea ahead of tonight's Champions League semi-final second leg at Stamford Bridge.

"This is a very important meeting. From our team, only Tiago and [David] Villa have played in the Champions League semi-finals and we have a unique opportunity to get to the final. That being said, for us, this is the most important match of the season," he told AS.

"For us to say that this season has been spectacular, we need to finish well and these games that are coming up, which are the most important, we need to win them. What matters is how you finish, not how you start. We need to end the season with titles."

Atletico also reached the semi-final of the Copa del Rey this season, but were beaten by eventual winners Real Madrid.
