Alvaro Morata will return from a minor hamstring injury in time for Chelsea's league clash with Crystal Palace on October 14, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly confident that Alvaro Morata is not facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines and the striker could be back for their next Premier League outing.

The Spain international hobbled off the pitch in the defeat to Manchester City with 10 minutes of the first half left to play after complaining of a slight hamstring issue.

Conte revealed after the match that it was more of a precautionary measure to withdraw Morata and, according to the Daily Mail, he is expected to be fit for the October 14 clash with Crystal Palace.

It is suggested in the same report that the in-form striker could even feature in the second of Spain's two World Cup qualifiers, which sees them travel to Israel next Monday.

Morata has scored seven goals in eight appearances for Chelsea since joining from Real Madrid in the summer, as well as netting three times for his national side.
