Chelsea confirm Pedro signing

Chelsea confirm the signing of Pedro from Barcelona for a reported fee of £21.4m.

Chelsea have confirmed the signing of winger Pedro from Barcelona.

It is understood that the Spanish international has joined the Premier League champions for £21.4m.

The Blues have refused to disclose the length of the contract that the 28-year-old has signed.

Pedro had been tipped to join Manchester United before reports on Wednesday claimed that Chelsea were ready to pounce for his services.

"I am very happy to be here. I am very excited to start my adventure at Chelsea and I am here to keep winning titles," he told the club's official website. "Thanks to the club and the supporters for giving me the opportunity to put the blue shirt on."

A product of Barcelona's famed La Masia youth academy, Pedro won 20 honours with the club between 2008 and 2015.
