Chelsea are reportedly keen on a swoop for Lyon forward Moussa Dembele.
The Blues are currently banned from bringing new players to the club due to a transfer suspension, but the capital outfit are said to be confident of overturning the decision in time for the winter window.
According to the Daily Mail, Frank Lampard's side are interested in a move for Dembele, who has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United in recent weeks.
The report claims that Chelsea are aware of the interest from Old Trafford but are determined to win the race for the Frenchman, with a deal in next summer's transfer window under consideration.
Dembele has scored eight times in 11 appearances for Lyon during the 2019-20 campaign, although he is yet to net in three Champions League outings this term.
The 23-year-old, who struck 51 goals in 94 outings for Celtic ahead of a move to Ligue 1, has a contract with his French club until the summer of 2023.
