Juventus have reportedly failed in an attempt to offload Gonzalo Higuain to Inter Milan.
The forward has no future at the Italian giants, and the Argentine has failed to impress during loan periods with AC Milan and Chelsea this season.
The latter have the option to keep Higuain at Stamford Bridge for the next campaign, but there is every suggestion that the Blues will opt against that deal.
According to Marca, Juventus have made contact with Inter regarding a potential transfer due to the uncertainty regarding the future of Mauro Icardi.
However, Inter have allegedly insisted that they have no interest in signing the 31-year-old at the end of the season.
Higuain has contributed a total of 14 goals from 35 outings in all competitions since August.
