Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has claimed that the speculation surrounding Victor Moses can be viewed as a positive, but refused to be drawn into the media debate.
The 21-year-old forward has revealed that he will not be signing a new deal, fuelling the rumours that he is on his way out of the club.
Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move, but Wigan claim that they have no intention of parting with the Nigerian. Martinez, who had lengthy discussions over a switch to Liverpool, insists that the Latics should view the interest as a compliment.
"We're not going to be drawn into the media speculation," he told the Wigan Evening Post.
"All I will say is that Victor had a tremendous season last year - particularly after Christmas - and he is still only 21.
"I'm really looking forward to Victor having a very good break and coming back refreshed and ready to go. As I always say, the speculation is only a good thing - because when you perform well you are going to get attraction from elsewhere."
Moses joined Wigan in a £2.5m deal from Crystal Palace in 2010.
