A Markus Einsiedler brace has helped Unterhaching to a 2-1 win over FC Ingolstadt 04 in their DFB-Pokal first-round clash at the Sportpark Unterhaching.
The 26-year-old opened the scoring for his side on the half-hour mark with a powerful strike from distance.
Ingolstadt pushed forward on a number of occasions and looked like they could pull a goal back, but shortly after the restart the hosts doubled their lead through another long-range effort from Einsiedler.
The visitors struck back with seven minutes left as Moritz Hartmann collected Tomas Pekhart's pass and slotted into the bottom-right corner.
Despite pushing forward in the latter stages, they were unable to find an equaliser as Unterhaching saw the game out and progressed to the second round of the competition.
