Sports Mole looks at how Germany could line up in their World Cup 2022 qualification clash with Armenia.

Germany boss Hansi Flick is expected to make changes to his starting XI for Sunday evening's key World Cup 2022 qualification clash against Armenia.

The four-time world champions will enter this contest off the back of a 2-0 win over Liechtenstein, where Timo Werner and Leroy Sane were on the scoresheet in the Group J match.

Manuel Neuer was not involved last time out but is expected to return between the sticks here, while there might be a change in the middle of the defence, with Antonio Rudiger possibly coming in for Thilo Kehrer.

Flick, in his second match in charge, could also decide to freshen his midfield, with Leon Goretzka potentially starting alongside Joshua Kimmich.

Jamal Musiala was handed a surprise start on Thursday but could now drop out of the starting XI, which would allow Serge Gnabry to feature as part of a front four.

As mentioned, Werner and Sane were both on the scoresheet last time out, and the pair appear to have done enough to retain their spots in the side for Sunday evening's contest.

Kai Havertz is likely to operate as the number 10 for the Germans, who could again have Robin Gosens and Ridle Baku in the full-back positions for their fifth match in the section.

Germany possible starting lineup: Neuer; Baku, Sule, Rudiger, Gosens; Kimmich, Goretzka; Gnabry, Havertz, Sane; Werner
