Liverpool pair Emre Can, Divock Origi doubts for Tottenham Hotspur clash

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp reveals that Emre Can and Divock Origi could miss Saturday's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur due to injuries.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed that Emre Can and Divock Origi will not make the squad for Saturday's Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur due to injuries.

During the Reds' 5-0 victory over Burton Albion in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, Can limped off with an ankle injury, while Origi suffered cramp in the closing stages of the match.

Neither injury is serious, but it is unlikely that the duo will be fit enough to feature at White Hart Lane this weekend.

"We need to wait a little bit," Klopp told reporters in today's press conference. "With Emre there is nothing really serious in the ankle, but it is his ankle where he had a few problems in the past. It should not be long, but maybe not for the Tottenham game.

"It's the same with Divock, it's not serious. There are different levels of cramp."

Meanwhile, Klopp has claimed that Daniel Sturridge does not have a "fixed position" after the striker said that he was unhappy playing wide.
