The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Liverpool eye possible reinforcements.
Jurgen Klopp's champions have not been particularly busy during recent windows, but that has not stopped the rumour mill from linking them with additions.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Anfield.
Monday morning's Liverpool transfer talk news roundup:
Arsenal 'turned down chance to sign Thiago Alcantara before Liverpool move'
Bayern Munich reportedly made contact with Arsenal over the future of Thiago Alcantara before his transfer to Liverpool.
Earlier this week, the Premier League champions confirmed that they had won the race to sign the Spaniard, who had less than a year left on his contract at the Allianz Arena.
However, according to The Athletic, Bayern made Thiago's availability known to a number of clubs before he completed a switch to Anfield.
The report claims that the Gunners had the opportunity to make an approach for the playmaker, only for them to decide against a bid.
While Arsenal are currently in the market for a creative midfielder, Thiago turning 30 years of age next year would have counted against him.
Given their restricted transfer budget, Mikel Arteta is likely to have been against spending in excess of £25m on a player of that experience.
Crystal Palace 'leading the race to sign Rhian Brewster from Liverpool'
Crystal Palace are reportedly the favourites to sign Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster this summer.
The 20-year-old impressed during a loan spell at Swansea City in the second half of last season, finding the back of the net on 11 occasions in 22 appearances for the Championship club.
Liverpool have allegedly agreed to allow the youngster to leave Anfield this summer providing that a buy-back clause is inserted into a deal.
A number of clubs, including Sheffield United, have been credited with an interest in the striker, but according to the Daily Mail, Palace have emerged as the favourites to sign him.
Brewster was involved in Liverpool's preparations for the 2020-21 campaign and also appeared as a substitute in the Community Shield against Arsenal at the end of last month.
The England Under-21 international has not made the squad for either of his side's Premier League games this term, though, and looks set to move on before the October 5 deadline.
