Besiktas president Fikret Orman has claimed that Liverpool do not want to let go of Lucas Leiva.
The Brazilian midfielder was reportedly set to complete a season-long loan move to the Turkish side after falling down the pecking order at Anfield.
However, Orman has said that he is not confident of a deal now being done.
"Liverpool to not want him to go, the transfer can only go ahead with their say so there is nothing we can do right now." he is quoted as saying by the Liverpool Echo.
Lucas has made 276 appearances during his years at Liverpool.
