Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has refused to discuss reports that the club are on the verge of signing Schalke 04 defender Joel Matip.
There are reports that the 24-year-old has agreed to join the Reds at the end of the season when his contract runs out.
When asked about the potential transfer, Klopp told reporters: "There is nothing to say about it. If and when something is fixed you will be the first to know."
Liverpool have made two signings so far this month - Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic, who will join up with the club in the summer from Red Star Belgrade, and Steven Caulker, who has signed on loan until the end of the season from Queens Park Rangers.
