Vincent Kompany targets Manchester City dominance

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany says that he is confident the club can become a dominant force in the Premier League.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has said that he is confident the club can become a dominant force in the Premier League.

The Citizens claimed a 2-0 victory over West Ham United this afternoon to seal a second title in the last three seasons.

Kompany admitted that if City are to become one of the biggest clubs in world football then they will have to win silverware on a regular basis.

"Forget about the money and everything. As a kid you grow up and dream of lifting trophies – I feel like I am living that dream when I do this," The Mirror quotes him as saying.

"We're building a club, not just a team that wins trophies now and again. Next year we need to be even better. If you want to be a big club then this must be one of so many."

Kompany made 28 appearances for City in the Premier League this season and scored four goals.
