Manchester City's Matija Nastasic expected to be sidelined for three weeks

Manuel Pellegrini reveals that defender Matija Nastasic is likely to be sidelined for three weeks with a calf injury.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that defender Matija Nastasic is likely to be out of action for three weeks due to a calf injury.

The 20-year-old was absent for City's victory over Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League in midweek after picking up the injury in their 6-0 thumping of Tottenham Hotspur.

Pellegrini confirmed in a press conference today that he is expected to be without the Serbia international for three weeks as the defender tries to recover.

The Chilean boss has also revealed that captain Vincent Kompany has returned to training.
