Harry Redknapp could attempt to entice Paul Scholes out of international retirement if the Tottenham boss takes over as England manager.
Redknapp is reportedly the Football Association's top target to succeed Fabio Capello, and he has hinted that the Manchester United midfielder could play a key role this summer, should Redknapp take the job.
"Look at Paul Scholes. Let's be honest, you would love to have PS in the Euros this year. He'd be in your team, he's that good," Redknapp told The Mirror.
"Whoever's there would love to take him I'm sure you'd love him to play. He plays like the Spaniards, like Xavi, or Iniesta – he does not give the ball away."
Scholes retired from international football in 2004.
