Manchester United and Liverpool have both been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Bologna midfielder Gaston Ramirez.
Ramirez's agent, Vincenzo D'Ippolito, has insisted that the player will not leave the Italian club in January.
The 21-year-old has drawn the attention of a host of Premier League clubs with his performances this season, but he looks likely to remain in Italy until at least 2016.
"There is nothing to say about Ramirez. He's only just extended his contract. He won't be leaving Bologna," D'Ippolito told talkSPORT.
Ramirez has made 35 league appearances for Bologna, scoring seven goals in the process.
