Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes that his side were worthy winners after their 1-0 win at Aston Villa.
Phil Jones scored the decisive goal after 19 minutes when he met Nani's cross to volley in.
"I thought we deserved the win," Ferguson told ESPN. "I think we were a bit wasteful with chances in the first half but I'm happy with the result."
The Scot was also pleased with the passing move which led to Jones's first goal for the club.
"It was a great move and a great cross from Nani," he added. "It was a very good strike."
The win has lifted the Red Devils back into second in the Premier League table, five points behind local rivals Manchester City.
