Mamadou Sakho: 'Man United players were shouting at each other at half time'

Mamadou Sakho says that he heard Manchester United's players "shouting" at one another at half time in Sunday's clash at Anfield.

Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho has claimed that he heard Manchester United's players "shouting" at one another at half time of Sunday's Premier League clash at Anfield.

Louis van Gaal's side came away with three points after Wayne Rooney scored the only goal of the game in the 78th minute on Merseyside.

It was not a vintage performance from Louis van Gaal's men, though, as they ended the first half not having one single shot on target.

After the match, Sakho told Canal+: "United were lucky today and they know it. We could hear them shouting in the dressing room at half time. We ate them."

The result moved United back to fifth in the Premier League table, two points behind fourth spot, while Liverpool reside eight points off a Champions League position in ninth place.
