Louis van Gaal: Angel di Maria is a "big loss"

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal says that losing Angel di Maria is a "big loss" for the Red Devils.

Louis van Gaal that claimed that losing winger Angel di Maria to Paris Saint-Germain represents a "big loss" for Manchester United.

The Argentine sealed a £44m move to the French giants on Thursday after struggling to hit the heights expected of him in his maiden season at Old Trafford last term.

"Di Maria, we have solved that problem but it is for us a big loss," he told a press conference.

"When I say I want more attackers with speed and creativity, Di Maria is one of those players so we have to look for those kinds of players."

Di Maria was signed for a British record £59.7m from Real Madrid last summer. Barcelona forward Pedro is among those linked to replace him.
