Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly both interested in signing Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti.
The 26-year-old has fallen out of favour under Ernesto Valverde, starting just four La Liga games all season having slipped behind Clement Lenglet and Gerard Pique in the pecking order.
Speculation over Umtiti's future at Camp Nou has grown as a result of his lack of first-team action, and El Desmarque reports that Manchester United and Arsenal are considering an approach.
The Premier League giants could face competition from domestic rivals Tottenham Hotspur, though, with Jose Mourinho have also identified the France international as a possible target.
All three teams are understood to be keen to boost their defensive options during the January transfer window, with Spurs and Arsenal both having conceded 30 goals from 21 games in the Premier League this season.
United, meanwhile, are expected to be without Harry Maguire for the foreseeable future, which could force them into the transfer market for a new centre-back.
Umtiti joined Barcelona in 2016 and has gone on to make more than 100 appearances for the club across all competitions.
