Report: Paris Saint-Germain pull out of race to sign Angel di Maria

Reports in the Middle East claim that Paris Saint-Germain are no longer interested in signing Angel di Maria from Manchester United.

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly withdrawn their interest in signing Manchester United attacker Angel di Maria following unsuccessful talks.

The 27-year-old has been tipped to leave Old Trafford this summer after a largely unsuccessful first season at the club.

Di Maria struggled to truly settle in Manchester due to a break-in at his house, leading to widespread reports linking him with a move away.

PSG were thought to be the frontrunners to land the man who set United back £59.7m less than 12 months ago, while Louis van Gaal has remained tight-lipped throughout.

However, according to Middle East broadcaster beIN Sports, which is run by Nasser Al-Khelaifi - the chairman of the Qatar Investment Authority which owns PSG - the French giants will now turn their attention elsewhere after reaching a dead end.

Di Maria is expected to link up with his Man United teammates on their tour of the United States in the coming days.
