Aitor Karanka will reportedly be named the new manager of Middlesbrough over the coming hours.
The 40-year-old, who was part of Jose Mourinho's coaching staff at Real Madrid, has recently been linked with the vacancy at Premier League side Crystal Palace.
However, over the last couple of days, the odds of him taking charge at the Riverside Stadium have shortened from 10/1 to 1/10.
As a result, the former Spanish international should be installed at some stage today, according to the Teeside Evening Gazette.
Boro have been without a manager since Tony Mowbray was sacked three weeks ago.
