Hatem Ben Arfa tips Newcastle for title

Hatem Ben Arfa says that Newcastle United can take the Premier League title after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

Hatem Ben Arfa has said that Newcastle United can take the Premier League title after their 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Saturday.

Ben Arfa was at the centre of a controversial penalty decision when he was adjudged to have been fouled by Rio Ferdinand, leading to Demba Ba levelling the scores with a spot kick.

"What's certain is I received a big blow to my head. I don't know if Rio Ferdinand got the ball but the main thing is we got the goal," Ben Arfa said.

"I think if we gain in confidence, we can go and get the title.

"I think the only thing that makes a difference is the confidence. We really have good footballers here. If we carry on like this, then we can do something."

Newcastle are currently fourth in the Premier League with 26 points from 13 games.
