Norwich City have confirmed the arrival of midfielder Gary O'Neil on a two-year contract.
The 31-year-old moves to Carrow Road after his release by Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season.
He had been training with the Canaries since his release and now the deal has been confirmed with less than a week until the new Football League season begins.
"Gary's a very experienced player. He's featured in the Premier League and Championship all his career and he can play in a number of roles through the midfield," Norwich boss Neil Adams told the club website.
"He was with QPR when they achieved promotion to the Premier League, so he's the precisely the sort of player needed."
Norwich begin life back in the Championship after three years in the Premier League with a trip to newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday afternoon.
O'Neil won't be available, though, as he picked up the first red card of his career for QPR in the Championship playoff final against Derby County in May.
