Norwich City boss Neil Adams has revealed that he is hopeful of signing free agent Gary O'Neil.
The midfielder, 31, has been training with the Canaries after being released by Queens Park Rangers at the end of last season.
O'Neil began his career with Portsmouth before spells with Middlesbrough, West Ham United and QPR.
"Hopefully he will be joining us. There's nothing to confirm at the moment," Adams told BBC Sport. "Hopefully next week we can get something moving."
O'Neil scored one goal in 33 games for QPR during their promotion-winning campaign last season.
