Blaise Matuidi wants Paris Saint-Germain stay

Blaise Matuidi says that he wants to stay at Paris Saint-Germain but also refuses to rule out the prospect of leaving the French champions.

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi has said that he wants to stay at the Parc des Princes despite reports linking him with Manchester City and Chelsea.

The 26-year-old's contract with the French champions runs out next year, although Les Parisiens are believed to be preparing to table an extension.

"I am really at ease at PSG," the French international told L'Equipe.

"My first wish would be to stay, but you can wish for something and sometimes it doesn't happen.

"The club has a special place in my heart, but anything can happen in a career."

Matuidi will be free to discuss terms with another club in January should a new deal with PSG fail to materialise.
