Fellow new players Steven Caulker and Jordon Mutch also line up in defence and midfield respectively at Loftus Road, while Loic Remy, who failed a medical with Liverpool, starts up front with Charlie Austin.

Hull City forward Yannick Sagbo is sitting out today's opener with a two-match ban for a Twitter post that broke Football Association rules.

Meanwhile, new signings Tom Ince, Robert Snodgrass, Jake Livermore and Andy Robertson all start for the Tigers.
