Reading captain Jobi McAnuff has bemoaned his side's luck in their defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship.
The Royals, who had Alex Pearce sent off early on, went down 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
"We had a couple of chances early on that, on another day, if we'd stuck away, the result would have been different," the 32-year-old told the club's official website. "It was one of those days today, everything that could have gone against us, did.
"You get those days in football, but even after the red card we dug in and we looked good. In the second half they just sat in and looked to soak it up - and the second goal was a killer blow.
"As always, we'll look at ourselves first and foremost. We'll have a proper look back at the match and get ready for QPR."
Despite the loss, Reading remain in the playoff places.
