Report: Gareth Bale expected to return for Valencia clash

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale is expected to return for the club's league trip to Valencia on Sunday.

Gareth Bale is expected to return for Real Madrid's league trip to Valencia at the weekend.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed earlier in the week that the Welshman had picked up "a small injury during training", ruling him out of the Copa del Rey clash with Olimpic de Xativa in the process.

However, tests over the last 24 hours have confirmed no serious damage to the 24-year-old's calf muscle and therefore a return on Sunday is expected.

Madrid host Olimpic in the fourth round of the cup this evening level at 0-0 from the first leg.
