The future of Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is allegedly in further doubt after the club's 3-0 defeat against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

The future of Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has reportedly been left in further doubt in the aftermath of the club's 3-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

While Real went into the game at the Parc des Princes having recorded eight points from four games in La Liga, Los Blancos were less than convincing in three of those outings.

Zidane was given the funds to bring in several high-profile players during the summer transfer window, but The Independent suggests that the Frenchman finds himself under pressure to keep his job after the demise in his nation's capital.

The report claims that a number of players have labelled their current form and situation behind the scenes as "a fiasco", as well as citing 'a lack of strategy'.

Former boss Jose Mourinho continues to be touted as a potential replacement for Zidane, having sat out nearly a year since his exit from Manchester United.

However, it is hinted that those close to Florentino Perez may look to steer the president away from reappointing the Portuguese.
