Real Madrid reportedly identify Benfica forward Luka Jovic as the long-term replacement for Karim Benzema.

Real Madrid have reportedly decided that they will up their interest in forward Luka Jovic.

Karim Benzema is currently the first-choice striker at the Bernabeu, but the Frenchman is now 31 years of age and Real are already looking at long-term replacements.

Tottenham Hotspur frontman Harry Kane has allegedly been a target, but according to Marca, Real have identified Jovic as a potential addition in the future.

Jovic is currently contracted to Benfica, but the 21-year-old has spent the last 18 months on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt and the Bundesliga side will push through a permanent deal in the summer.

The Serbian has contributed 21 goals from 39 league matches since making the switch ahead of the start of last season.
