Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez praises David Moyes's "intensity"

Inigo Martinez praises David Moyes's training methods following the Scotsman's appointment as Real Sociedad's new manager.

Real Sociedad defender Inigo Martinez believes that David Moyes is already beginning to turn things around for the better following his first few training sessions as manager.

The Scotsman was confirmed as the Spanish club's new boss last week following the sacking of Jagoba Arrasate.

The job is Moyes's first since receiving the boot from Manchester United back in April after the team fell from Premier League champions to seventh under his leadership at Old Trafford.

Ahead of Moyes's first match in charge of Sociedad, who take on Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday, Martinez has been full of praise for the Scotsman's training techniques.

"Above all it is the intensity he brings to training, in the aggression he demands," Martinez said in a press conference.

"He is really on top of everything, he pressures you constantly from the side of the pitch and this is something that motivates players.

"The intensity we are seeing now was not there before and we need to learn everything he knows and then put it to use at the weekend."

Moyes, who spent 11 years in charge of Everton, lasted less than 10 months as Sir Alex Ferguson's successor.
