Team News: Southampton make three changes

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman makes three changes to his side for the visit of Stoke City.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has made three changes to his side for today's visit of Stoke City.

Sadio Mane has dropped to the substitutes' bench after returning from international duty late with a slight ankle knock, so Shane Long is brought into the attack for his first club appearance in six weeks after featuring for the Republic of Ireland in the Euro 2016 playoffs.

Long will partner Graziano Pelle ahead of Dusan Tadic, while Victor Wanyama comes into the centre of midfield to replace James Ward-Prowse.

Cedric Soares is handed a start at right-back ahead of Maya Yoshida, with the latter dropping to the bench alongside Mane and Ward-Prowse.

For Stoke, Mark Hughes has named an unchanged side after the 1-0 triumph over Chelsea last time out, meaning that Jonathan Walters again leads the line.

Southampton: Stekenlenburg; Soares, Van Dijk, Fonte, Bertrand; Wanyama, Davis, Clasie, Tadic; Long, Pelle
Subs: Davis, Yoshida, Mane, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Juanmi, Caulker

Stoke City: Butland; Johnson, Wollscheid, Shawcross, Pieters; Adam, Whelan; Arnautovic, Bojan, Shaqiri; Walters
Subs: Haugaard, Ireland, Wilson, Afellay, Diouf, Cameron, Crouch
