Adrian Lopez marked his international debut by scoring in Spain's 2-0 win over Serbia at in Switzerland.
The 24-year-old Atletico Madrid midfielder, who was a second-half substitute in place of Roberto Soldado, headed home from close range to open the scoring on 64 minutes following a superb cross from Jesus Navas.
Spain dominated the match in terms of ball possession and shots, but Vicente del Bosque's were restricted to efforts from distance for most of the match as Spain looked set to record their first goalless draw since June 2008.
However, after breaking the deadlock, the world champions clicked into gear and extended their lead 16 minutes from time after Adrian was felled by Branislav Ivanovic in the penalty area.
Santi Cazorla converted the resultant spot-kick to post his fifth international goal in 41 appearances.
