Roberto Soldado believes that he will be part of the Spanish squad that will look to defend their European Championship crown this summer.
The 26-year-old is believed to be in direct competition with Chelsea striker Fernando Torres for a slot in Vicente Del Bosque's squad.
However, Soldado is hoping that his 16-goal contribution for Los Ches so far this season will swing the balance in his favour.
"Torres means a lot to the team and we all know what he can give," Soldado told Cadena COPE. "If I keep doing things very well I think I'll be at the European Championship.
"I have to keep doing everything possible to be in the squad."
Soldado scored three times on his last appearance for Spain against Venezuela in February.
