Tottenham Hotspur welcome Lazio to White Hart Lane tomorrow night as they prepare to begin the group phase of their Europa League campaign.

Tottenham Hotspur are preparing to welcome Lazio to White Hart Lane for their opening group clash in the Europa League tomorrow night.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas, who won the European trophy with Porto before beginning his nine-month stint at Chelsea last season, is likely to make changes to his side that defeated Reading 3-1 on Sunday.

The North London club's in-form striker Jermain Defoe could be dropped for tomorrow night's clash, which could make way for Emmanuel Adebayor, who signed a permanent contract with Spurs in the summer.

Hugo Lloris could make his debut in goal as he tries to fight for the number one spot with fellow shot-stopper Brad Freidel, while Clint Dempsey could also start for the Premier League outfit.

Meanwhile, Vladamir Petkovic, who has witnessed his side win their last five games, is expected to opt for Miroslav Klose as the side's main attacking threat, with Stefano Mauri providing support to the German.
