Chris Hughton is hopeful that loan striker Harry Kane will not be sidelined for a lengthy period of time at Norwich City after suffering an injury last night.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton believes that striker Harry Kane's injury may not be as bad as first feared.

The 19-year-old, who is on loan at Carrow Road from Tottenham Hotspur for the season, left the field in last night's 1-0 win over Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup.

"There was no contact with the keeper, he just fell as he went for the ball," said Hughton. "We are hoping the news in the morning will not be so bad."

Kane has made one substitute appearance for the Canaries in the Premier League so far this season.
