Lee Croft has revealed that he wants to earn another deal with St Johnstone.
The 28-year-old midfielder, who has been without a club since leaving Oldham Athletic in the summer, is currently on trial at the Scottish Premiership outfit.
Croft, who played 13 times for the club during a loan spell in 2012, has said that manager Tommy Wright has been monitoring him for some time.
"He's told me since the summer that he wanted me to come back to St Johnstone. I'm not match fit at the moment but I'll work hard in training and hopefully win a deal," Croft told the Dundee Courier.
"I have kept in touch with Tommy for a long time. He's someone I've got a lot of respect for."
Croft made 53 appearances for Oldham last season.
