Stoke City boss Paul Lambert suggests that he will have no concerns about including Lasse Sorenson in Premier League action before the end of the season.

Stoke City boss Paul Lambert has suggested that age is not a factor when he decides on each of his first-team squads in the Premier League.

On Sunday, Lambert included both Lasse Sorenson and Tyrese Campbell in his 18-man group for the fixture with Arsenal, with Sorenson featuring with the senior side for the first time.

However, Lambert has claimed that the young Dane is already good enough to earn a chance with the Potters, and hints that he will have no concerns over including the midfielder during the run-in.

The 48-year-old is quoted by the Stoke Sentinel as saying: "For me, it's not about how old they are, it's about whether they are good enough. It's not a gift for them to come in and train with the senior side.

"Lasse has done very well in training since he's come up. Tyrese, I know what he can do. I don't have a problem with putting anyone in the squad if I think they are good enough, regardless of their age."

Stoke currently sit three points adrift of safety in the Premier League table.
